Information clause for clients of the Notary Office

Translation for information purposes – the Polish version is binding.

1. Notary Jakub Cichowicz – Notary Office in Wrocław, ul. Krystyny i Mariana Barskich 8, has received from you information constituting personal data. The notary will use it solely for purposes related to the notarial acts performed at your request, and also in performing obligations under separate regulations related to those acts (e.g. collecting court fees and taxes).
2. The notary acts on the basis of legal provisions imposing obligations related to the office and its tasks (this meets the requirements of Article 6(1)(b) and (e) and Article 9(2)(g), (f) and (j) of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 – GDPR).
3. The detailed scope of the notary’s obligations is defined by generally applicable law, in particular the Act of 14 February 1991 – Law on Notaries (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2017, item 2291, as amended).
4. The notary will transfer your personal data to public authorities (e.g. courts and tax authorities) to the extent required to fulfil legal obligations.
5. The notary is legally required to store your personal data for 10 years from the completion of the notarial act in connection with which the data was received.
6. Your personal data is used by the notary in connection with statutory requirements. This means that you are obliged to provide the personal data necessary for the proper (lawful) performance of notarial acts. Refusal to provide this information makes it impossible to perform the notarial acts.
7. In accordance with applicable law, you have the right to access your personal data. You may also request its rectification or erasure where provided for by the Law on Notaries.
